About Us
Queanbeyan Quilters began in 1984 when a small group of enthusiastic needlewomen got together for friendship and to share sewing skills.
Now a group of around 50 members, including a couple of enthusiastic juniors, Queanbeyan Quilters meet regularly to stitch, share ideas and skills, and enjoy an environment of mutual support and encouragement.
Our patchwork and quilting styles and preferences range from traditional through to modern. Some members are beginners, some are experts, some teach, but all of us learn from each other.
New members and visitors of all ages and gender are always welcome.
Where and When we meet
Queanbeyan Quilters hold all their sessions at the Letchworth Community Centre, 28 Miller Street, Queanbeyan West NSW 2620.

We meet every Friday night from 7pm – 10pm except late December and early January) and the 2nd and 4th Thursday morning of each month (including December) from 9.30am – 12 midday.
Monthly (formal) meetings are held on the fourth Friday of the month, except December, and with some exceptions due to Public Holidays etc. These meetings provide members with information and an opportunity to provide input to club activities, include a name badge draw and raffle as well as Show and Tell. Meetings may involve a guest speaker.
Gift Quilts Program
At Queanbeyan Quilters we love making quilts. Our gift quilts have been distributed within local and greater NSW regional communities. We have also partnered with several national organisations and contributed to Australia’s local and international disaster relief efforts.
