While it may have been BLACK FRIDAY for others, Queanbeyan Quilters finished off a well-attended November monthly meeting with a cuppa and a chat over an impressive Christmas supper.
Business was dealt with first of course. Items covered in the meeting included Show and Tell of recently completed patchwork & quilted items, upcoming local events of interest to members (The Bungendore Annual Quilt Exhibition and the Braidwood Airing of the Quilts), progress of our Gift Quilt distribution program and help required to fulfil a new gift quilt request. Books of raffle tickets for the Queanbeyan Quilters Inc 2024 Exhibition of Quilts Raffle were distributed to members interested in beginning sales. Raffle tickets will be going on sale soon at selected venues within the Queanbeyan area.

The meeting was also advised about a number of quilt-related activities and visits being planned for 2024. These include a special viewing of the Rajah quilt and associated exhibition at the National Gallery of Australia and an excursion to the Pioneer Women’s Hut Museum in Tumbarumba.
As if this was not enough, members were reminded of the upcoming December Christmas lunch – catered for by one of our extraordinary multi-talented members.
If this sounds like the group for you, check out the Membership page for information on how to join.
